Article 5

The text of Article 86 shall be replaced with the following: ‘At the request of the Bulgarian authorities, the Community shall provide technical assistance designed to support the efforts of Bulgaria towards the gradual approximation of its policies to those of the Economic and Monetary Union. This will include informal exchange of information concerning the principles and the functioning of the Economic and Monetary Union.’
