Article 1

Directive 2004/17/EC shall not apply to contracts awarded by contracting entities and intended to enable the following services to be carried out in Italy:

(a)

Collection of savings from the public through a current account.

(b)

Lending on behalf of banks and accredited financial intermediaries.

(c)

Investment services and activities.

(d)

Payment and money transfer services.

Article 2

This Decision is addressed to the Italian Republic.
