Annex II to Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008 is amended in accordance with the Annex to this Regulation.

In the Annex to Regulation (EU) No 231/2012, the entry for the food additive stearyl tartrate (E 483) is deleted.

Foods containing stearyl tartrate (E 483) that have been lawfully placed on the market before 23 April 2024 may continue to be marketed until their date of minimum durability or ‘use-by date’.

This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union . It shall apply from 23 April 2024.

ANNEX Annex II to Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008 is amended as follows: (1) in Part B, in Table 3 ‘Additives other than colours and sweeteners’, the entry for the food additive E 483 Stearyl tartrate is deleted; (2) Part E is amended as follows: (a) in category 01.4 (Flavoured fermented milk products including heat-treated products), the entry concerning the food additive E 483 (Stearyl tartrate) is deleted; (b) in category 07.1 (Bread and rolls), the entry concerning the food additive E 483 (Stearyl tartrate) is deleted; (c) in category 07.2 (Fine bakery wares), the entry concerning the food additive E 483 (Stearyl tartrate) is deleted; (d) in category 16 (Desserts excluding products covered in categories 1, 3 and 4), the entry concerning the food additive E 483 (Stearyl tartrate) is deleted.
