Council Decision (EU) 2024/1394 of 22 April 2024 on the conclusion, on behalf of the European Union, of the Strategic Partnership Agreement between the European Union and its Member States, of the one part, and Japan, of the other part

Article 1

The Strategic Partnership Agreement between the European Union and its Member States, of the one part, and Japan, of the other part, is hereby approved on behalf of the Union.  ( 3 ) .

Article 2

The High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy shall co-chair the Joint Committee provided for in Article 42 of the Agreement.

Article 3

The President of the Council shall designate the person(s) empowered to exchange the instrument confirming the completion of approval and ratification by the Union Party provided for in Article 47(1) of the Agreement, in order to express the consent to be bound by the Agreement.  ( 4 ) .

Article 4

This Decision shall enter into force on the date of its adoption.
