Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1816 of 4 September 2025 entering the geographical indication Queso de Burgos (PGI) in the Union register of geographical indications pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2024/1143 of the European Parliament and of the Council

Article 1

The geographical indication ‘Queso de Burgos’ (PGI) is hereby entered in the Union register of geographical indications referred to in Article 22 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1143.

Article 2

The following companies are authorized to continue using the name ‘Queso de Burgos’ for a transitional period of three years from the entry into force of this regulation: Mantequerías Arias S.A. (as regards the installations located outside the geographical area defined in the product specification); Campo de San Juan S.L.U.; Lácteas del Jarama S.A.; Grupo Lactalis Iberia S.A.; Lactalis Zamora S.L.; El Gran Cardenal S.A.; Schreiber Foods España S.L.; Palancares Alimentación S.L.; Industrias Lácteas San Vicente S.A.

Article 3

This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union .
