Minimum requirements as to the skills and knowledge to be covered by the training programmes
The training course referred to in Article 3(2) shall cover the following:
(a)
a theoretical module as indicated as (T) in the columns,
(b)
a practical module where the applicant shall perform the corresponding task with the relevant material, tools and equipment, indicated as (P) in the columns.

Basic knowledge of possible threats to the environment from decomposition products of certain fluorinated substances (PFAS) such as HFCs, HFOs and HCFOs

Basic understanding of potential leakage points of air conditioning equipment and heat pumps in vehicles and non-road machinery.

Conducting the standard operations of maintenance or servicing (refilling) and repair of mobile air-conditioning equipment and heat pumps in a selected vehicle group or non-road mobile machinery (name categories) covered by this regulation containing or relying on any fluorinated greenhouse gas and on hydrocarbons, including vacuum, fill, checking liquid and suction line, subcooling, superheating, temperature and pressure control, compressor amps, checking surface of condenser and evaporator, installation of components and valves in the correct position.

4.1
Knowledge of common procedures for recovering fluorinated greenhouse gases from mobile air conditioning equipment, heat pumps and mobile refrigeration units taking into account the flammability aspect of some of these gases.

Knowledge of proper storage of recovered refrigerants and arrangements for recycling, reclamation and destruction as well as respective legal requirements including documentation and reporting, if applicable.
