The feed additives celery seed essential oil from Apium graveolens L. and caraway essential oil from Carum carvi L., as authorised pursuant to Directive 70/524/EEC, shall be withdrawn from the market in respect of the animal species and categories other than those mentioned in the Annex.
Transitional measures related to the authorisation
1. The feed additives celery seed essential oil from Apium graveolens L. and caraway essential oil from Carum carvi L., as authorised pursuant to Directive 70/524/EEC and premixtures containing these additives, which are intended for turkeys for fattening, chickens for fattening and minor poultry for fattening, all poultry reared for laying or breeding, ornamental birds, all poultry for laying or breeding, pigs for fattening, pigs for fattening of minor Suidae , piglets (suckling and weaned) of all Suidae , all Suidae for reproduction, calves for fattening, sheep and goats, cattle for fattening, other ruminants for fattening and all other ruminants, Camelidae for fattening and all other Camelidae , Equidae , Leporidae , salmonids, minor finfish, dogs and which are produced and labelled before 5 August 2026 in accordance with the rules applicable before 5 February 2026 may continue to be placed on the market and used until the stocks concerned are exhausted.
2. Compound feed and feed materials containing the feed additives referred to in paragraph 1, which are produced and labelled before 5 February 2027 in accordance with the rules applicable before 5 February 2026 may continue to be placed on the market and used until the stocks concerned are exhausted, if they are intended for food-producing animals.
3. Compound feed and feed materials containing the feed additives referred to in paragraph 1, which are produced and labelled before 5 February 2028 in accordance with the rules applicable before 5 February 2026 may continue to be placed on the market and used until the stocks concerned are exhausted, if they are intended for non-food producing animals.
Transitional measures related to the withdrawal from the market
1. Existing stocks of the feed additives celery seed essential oil from Apium graveolens L. and caraway essential oil from Carum carvi L. may continue to be placed on the market and used in respect of the animal species and categories other than those mentioned in the Annex until 5 February 2027.
2. Premixtures produced with the feed additives referred to in paragraph 1 may continue to be placed on the market and used in respect of the animal species and categories other than those mentioned in the Annex until 5 May 2027.
3. Compound feed and feed materials produced with the feed additives referred to in paragraph 1 or with the premixtures referred to in paragraph 2 may continue to be placed on the market and used in respect of the animal species and categories other than those mentioned in the Annex until 5 February 2028.

1.
The additive shall be incorporated into the feed in the form of a premixture.
2.
In the directions for use of the additive and premixtures, the storage conditions and stability to heat treatment shall be indicated.
3.
Mixture of celery seed essential oil with other botanical additives is permitted provided that the levels of perillaldehyde and furocoumarins in feed materials and compound feed are lower than the ones resulting from the use of a single additive at the maximum or recommended level for the relevant species or animal category.
4.
For users of the additive and premixtures, feed business operators shall establish operational procedures and organisational measures to address potential risks resulting from their use. Where those risks cannot be eliminated by such procedures and measures, the additive and premixtures shall be used with personal skin, eye and breathing protective equipment.
