Article 11

Sanctions Member States shall provide for appropriate sanctions in the event of the supplier's failure to comply with national provisions adopted pursuant to this Directive. They may provide for this purpose in particular that the consumer may cancel the contract at any time, free of charge and without penalty. These sanctions must be effective, proportional and dissuasive.
