An Act to provide for the declaration of an area in the Bintulu District in the Fourth Division of the State of Sarawak to be a federal port, for the transfer to and vesting in the Federal Government of responsibility for the development, control and administration of such port and for all other matters and things necessary therefor, incidental thereto or connected therewith.

In this Act, βMinisterβ means the Federal Minister charged with responsibility for ports and harbours.
The Minister may with effect from such date as he may specify, by order in the Gazette, declare an area in the Bintulu District in the Fourth Division of the State of Sarawak to be a federal port to be known as Bintulu Port.

On the Minister so declaring the area to be a federal port under section 3, the responsibility for the development, control and administration of that area shall be transferred to and vest in the Federal Government.

The Federal Government may take all steps and measures and do all matters and things that are necessary for, incidental to or connected with the discharge of its responsibility under this Act.
