Power to prohibit the use of plant or substance

s 35

(1) Notwithstanding any written law to the contrary, the Director General may by order published in the Gazette prohibit the use of any plant or substance which in his opinion is likely to affect the safety and health of persons at work. (2) Where the Director General proposes to exercise his power under subsection (1) he shall, before making the order, consult any Government department or other body which appears to him to be appropriate.

Aggrieved person may appeal

s 36

A person who is aggrieved by an order made under subsection 35(1) may, within thirty days of the order, lodge an appeal with the secretary to the Council who shall transmit the appeal to an appeal committee appointed by the Minister under section 63.
