(1) The Notaries Public Ordinance 1947 is repealed.

(2) Notwithstanding the repeal of the said Ordinance any rules made thereunder and in force immediately betore the commencement of this Act shall, so far as they are not inconsistent with this Act, be deemed to have been made under this Act, and shall continue in force until revoked or repealed by rules made under this Act, and shall, unless the context otherwise requires, apply and have effect throughout Peninsular Malaysia.

(1) Ordinan Notari Awam 1947 dimansuhkan.
(2) Walaupun Ordinan tersebut dimansuhkan apa-apa kaedah yang dıbuat dı bawahnya dan berkuat kuasa sebaik sebelum permulaan kuat kuasa Akta ini hendaklah, setakat yang ia selaras dengan Akta ini, disifatkan telah dibuat di bawah Akta ini, dan hendaklah terus berkuat kuasa sehingga dibatalkan atau dimansuhkan oleh kaedahkaedah yang dibuat di bawah Akta ini, dan hendaklah, melainkan jika konteksnya menghendaki selainnya, terpakai dan berkuat kuasa di seluruh Semenanjung Malaysia. *CATATAN—Bagi pemakaian ke Sabah dan Sarawak-lihar L.N. 98/1965.
