Local Government Act 1976 s 53
Sections 85–93 were repealed by later amendments.
The local authority shall cause proper books and accounts to be provided and true and regular records to be entered therein of all transactions of the local authority and such books and accounts shall be open at all reasonable times and for reasonable periods to the inspection of any Councillor with the prior consent of the Mayor or President.
Akaun hendaklah disimpan
Pihak berkuasa tempatan hendaklah mengarahkan buku dan akaun yang sepatutnya diadakan dan rekod yang benar dan teratur dicatatkan di dalamnya mengenai semua transaksi pihak berkuasa tempatan itu dan buku dan akaun itu hendaklah terbuka pada setiap masa yang munasabah dan selama tempoh yang munasabah untuk diperiksa oleh mana-mana Anggota Majlis dengan terlebih dahulu mendapat izin Datuk Bandar atau Yang Dipertua.
