s 52 Penalty for interference with marks
Any person who, without the authority of the local planning authority, wilfully destroys, damages, defaces, moves or otherwise interferes with any mark placed or set up for the purpose of indicating any level or direction necessary for the carrying out of the purposes of this Act commits an offence and on conviction—
(a) is liable to a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both; and
(b) may, in addition to or in place of that penalty, be ordered to pay to the local planning authority a sum, recoverable as a fine, not exceeding three times the cost of repairing or re-emplacing the mark and of making any survey rendered necessary by the act in respect of which he is convicted.

Penalti oleh sebab mengganggu tanda
Mana-mana orang yang, tanpa kebenaran pihak berkuasa perancang tempatan, dengan sengaja memusnahkan, merosakkan, mencemarkan, mengalihkan, atau selainnya mengganggu apa-apa tanda yang ditempatkan atau didirikan bagi maksud menunjukkan apa-apa aras atau arah yang perlu untuk menjalankan maksud Akta ini melakukan suatu kesalahan dan apabila disabitkan—
(a) boleh didenda tidak melebihi satu ribu ringgit atau dipenjarakan selama suatu tempoh tidak melebihi enam bulan atau kedua-duanya; dan
(b) boleh, sebagai tambahan kepada atau sebagai ganti penalti itu, diperintahkan untuk membayar kepada pihak berkuasa perancang tempatan sejumlah wang, yang boleh didapatkan kembali sebagai denda, tidak melebihi tiga kali ganda kos bagi memperbaik atau menempatkan semula tanda itu dan bagi membuat apa-apa kaji ukur yang menjadi perlu oleh sebab perbuatan yang berkenaan dengannya dia disabitkan.
