s 15 Where registration may be refused
The Registrar shall refuse to accept an application for the registration of a trade mark which contains or consists of any of the following marks or a mark so nearly resembling any of those marks as is likely to be taken for that mark:
(a) the word or words “Patent”, “Patented”, “By Royal Letters Patent”, “Registered”, “Registered Design” and “Copyright” or a word or words to the like effect in any language whatsoever; or
(b) any mark which is specifically declared by the Minister in any regulations made under this Act to be a prohibited mark.

Bila pendaftaran boleh ditolak
Pendaftar hendaklah enggan menyetuju terima sesuatu permohonan untuk pendaftaran sesuatu cap dagangan yang mengandungi atau mempunyai mana-mana daripada cap yang berikut atau sesuatu cap yang hampir-hampir menyerupai mana-mana daripada cap itu hingga mungkin disalah sangka sebagai cap itu:
(a) perkataan atau perkataan-perkataan “Paten”, “Dipaten”, “Dengan Paten Surat Diraja”, “Berdaftar”, “Reka bentuk Berdaftar” dan “Hak cipta” atau sesuatu perkataan atau perkataan-perkataan yang bermaksud demikian itu dalam apa-apa jua bahasa; atau
(b) sesuatu cap yang khusus diisytiharkan oleh Menteri dalam sesuatu peraturan yang dibuat di bawah Akta ini sebagai suatu cap larangan.
