s 78 Extension of time by reason of error in trade marks office, etc.
(1) Where by reason of—
(a) circumstances beyond the control of the person concerned; or
(b) an error or action on the part of the Central Trade Marks Office or any trade marks office,
an act in relation to an application for the registration of a trade mark or in proceedings under this Act (not being proceedings in a Court) required to be done within a certain time has not been so done the Registrar may extend the time for doing the act.
(2) The time required for doing an act may be extended under this section although that time has expired.

Perlanjutan masa oleh sebab kesilapan dalam pejabat cap dagangan, dsb.
(1) Jika oleh sebab—
(a) hal keadaan yang tidak dapat dikawal oleh orang yang berkenaan; atau
(b) sesuatu kesilapan atau tindakan di pihak Pejabat Pusat Cap Dagangan atau mana-mana pejabat cap dagangan;
sesuatu perbuatan berkenaan dengan sesuatu permohonan untuk mendaftarkan sesuatu cap dagangan atau dalam prosiding di bawah Akta ini (yang bukan prosiding dalam Mahkamah) yang dikehendaki dilakukan dalam suatu masa tertentu belum dilakukan sedemikian maka Pendaftar boleh melanjutkan masa bagi melakukan perbuatan itu.
(2) Masa yang dikehendaki bagi melakukan sesuatu perbuatan boleh dilanjutkan di bawah seksyen ini sungguhpun masa itu telah tamat.
