Pensions Act 1980 s 11
Notwithstanding sections 10 and 12, with the consent of the officer— (a) the Yang di-Pertuan Agong may require a federal officer to retire at any age— (i) on ground of national interest; or (ii) in the interest of the public service; and (b) the State Authority may require a State officer to retire at any age— (i) with the approval of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, on ground of national interest; or (ii) in the interest of the public service.
Persaraan dengan kehendak Kerajaan
Walau apa pun seksyen 10 dan 12, dengan persetujuan pegawai itu— (a) Yang di-Pertuan Agong boleh menghendaki seseorang pegawai persekutuan supaya bersara pada mana-mana peringkat umur— (i) atas alasan kepentingan negara; atau (ii) demi kepentingan perkhidmatan awam; dan (b) Pihak Berkuasa Negeri boleh menghendaki seseorang pegawai Negeri supaya bersara pada mana-mana peringkat umur— (i) dengan kelulusan Yang di-Pertuan Agong, atas alasan kepentingan negara; atau (ii) demi kepentingan perkhidmatan awam.
