s 49 Prohibition of carriage of dutiable goods in local craft
(1) No goods of a class dutiable on import or export or prohibited goods shall be carried in any local craft except with the permission of the Director General and subject to such conditions as the Director General may impose.
(2) Such permission may be granted either generally, by notification in the Gazette, in respect of all local craft or any class or classes of local craft, or specially, in writing under the hand of the Director General or an officer authorized by him in that behalf, in respect of a particular local craft.
(3) No vessel shall go alongside a legal landing place or alongside an ocean going vessel except with the permission of the proper officer of customs.

(1) Tiada barang-barang daripada suatu kelas berduti apabila diimport atau dieksport atau barangbarang larangan boleh dibawa dalam mana-mana pesawat tempatan kecuali dengan kebenaran Ketua Pengarah dan tertakluk kepada apa-apa syaral sebagaimana yang dikenakan oleh Ketua Pengarah.
(2) Kebenaran itu boleh diberi sama ada secara am, melalui pemberitahuan dalam Warta, berkenaan dengan semua pesawat tempatan atau mana-mana kelas atau kelas-kelas pesawat tempatan, atau secara khas, dengan bertulis di bawah tandatangan Ketua :

(3) Tiada vesel boleh pergi ke tepi suatu tempat mendarat yang sah atau ke tepi suatu vesel yang akan ke laut kecuali dengan kebenaran pegawai kastam vang hak.
