Sections 15–17 and 24–25 were repealed by later amendments.
s 9A Grant of or refusal to grant licence
(1) Upon receiving and having considered the application for a licence under section 8, the Director General may grant or refuse to grant a licence.
(2) The Director General shall issue to the applicant a written notice of his decision whether to grant or refuse to grant a licence under subsection (1).
(3) If the application under subsection (1) is approved, the applicant shall, within thirty days from the date of the notice under subsection (2), pay the licence fee as specified in the First Schedule and deposit the money guarantee as specified in the Second Schedule for the purposes of granting the licence.
(4) If the applicant fails to pay the licence fee and money guarantee within thirty days as specified under subsection (3), the Director General may refuse to grant the licence without prejudice to a fresh application being made by the applicant.

Pemberian atau penolakan pemberian lesen
(1) Apabila menerima dan setelah mempertimbangkan permohonan bagi lesen di bawah seksyen 8, Ketua Pengarah boleh memberikan lesen atau menolak pemberian lesen.
(2) Ketua Pengarah hendaklah mengeluarkan notis bertulis kepada pemohon mengenai keputusannya sama ada untuk memberikan lesen atau menolak pemberian lesen di bawah subseksyen (1).
(3) Jika permohonan di bawah subseksyen (1) diluluskan, pemohon hendaklah, dalam tempoh tiga puluh hari dari tarikh notis di bawah subseksyen (2), membayar fi lesen yang dinyatakan dalam Jadual Pertama dan mendepositkan wang jaminan yang dinyatakan dalam Jadual Kedua bagi maksud pemberian lesen itu.
(4) Jika pemohon tidak membayar fi lesen dan wang jaminan dalam tempoh tiga puluh hari sebagaimana yang dinyatakan di bawah subseksyen (3), Ketua Pengarah boleh menolak pemberian lesen tanpa menjejaskan permohonan baharu yang dibuat oleh pemohon.
