s 48 Effect of declaration
(1) Every declaration under section 47 shall have effect as a declaration of intended acquisition under the Land Acquisition Act 1960 of all alienated lands situated within the area to which the declaration relates and any such land may, if the Commissioner is unsuccessful in negotiating his purchase of the lands on terms
acceptable to the Commissioner, be acquired and paid for in accordance with the said Act.
(2) For the purpose of the said Act—
(a) any land intended to be acquired pursuant to this Part shall be deemed to be needed by the Commissioner;
(b) the Commissioner shall be deemed to be a corporation undertaking a work that is of public utility; and
(c) the land shall be deemed to be needed for the purpose referred to in paragraph 3(b) of the said Act.

Kuat kuasa perisytiharan
(1) Tiap-tiap perisytiharan di bawah seksyen 47 hendaklah berkuat kuasa sebagai suatu perisytiharan pengambilan yang dicadangkan di bawah Akta Pengambilan Tanah 1960 mengenai semua tanah yang diberi hakmilik yang terletak dalam kawasan yang dimaksudkan oleh perisytiharan itu dan mana-mana daripada tanah itu boleh, jika Datuk Bandar tidak berjaya merundingi pembelian tanah itu atas syarat yang dapat diterima oleh Datuk Bandar, diambil dan dibayar mengikut Akta tersebut.
(2) Bagi maksud Akta tersebut―
(a) mana-mana tanah yang dicadang hendak diambil menurut Bahagian ini hendaklah disifatkan sebagai diperlukan oleh Datuk Bandar;
(b) Datuk Bandar hendaklah disifatkan sebagai suatu perbadanan yang mengusahakan suatu kerja yang bersifat kemudahan awam; dan
(c) tanah itu hendaklah disifatkan sebagai diperlukan bagi maksud yang disebut dalam perenggan 3(b) Akta itu.
