Any proceedings or cause of action, pending or existing immediately before the commencement of this Act, by or against the body corporate, or any debt owing to or by the body corporate, may be continued or enforced, by or against the Board, as if the body corporate had not been constituted. Officers or Servants Transter of 70. (1) Every officer or servant, who immediately before the commencement of this Act, was employed servants on establishment of body corporate. as an officer or servant of the body corporate, shall on the commencement of this Act, be deemed to be transferred from the service of the body corporate to the service of the Board, on terms and conditions of service. perquisites and emoluments no less favourable than those which he enjoyed immediately, prior to the commencement of this Act.
