s 1 Short title and commencement
This Act may be cited as the Drug Dependants (Treatment and Rehabilitation) Act 1983 and shall come into force on such date as may be appointed by the Minister by notification in the Gazette.

Akta ini bolehlah dinamakan Akta Penagih Dadah (Rawatan dan Pemulihan) 1983 dan hendaklah mula berkuat kuasa pada tarikh yang ditetapkan oleh Menteri melalui pemberitahuan dalam Warta.
