s 6 Slander of title, etc.

(1) In any action for slander of title, slander of goods or other malicious falsehood, it shall not be necessary to allege or prove special damage— (a) if the words upon which the action is founded are calculated to cause pecuniary damage to the plaintiff and are published in writing or other permanent form; or (b) if the said words are calculated to cause pecuniary damage to the plaintiff in respect of any office, profession, calling, trade or business held or carried on by him at the time of the publication. (2) Section 3 of this Act shall apply for the purposes of this section as it applies for the purposes of the law of libel and slander.

(1) Dalam mana-mana tindakan kerana slander terhadap hakmilik, slander terhadap barang-barang atau kepalsuan berniat-jahat yang lain, adalah tidak perlu untuk mengatakan atau membuktikan kerugian khas- (a) jika perkataan-perkataan ke atas mana tindakan diasaskan dikira menyebabkan kerugian wang kepada plaintif dan diterbitkan dalam tulisan atau bentuk tetap yang lain; atau (b) jika perkataan-perkataan tersebut dikira menyebabkan kerugian wang kepada plaintif berkenaan dengan mana-mana jawatan, profesion, pekerjaan, tred atau perniagaan yang dipegang atau dijalankan olehnya pada masa penerbitan itu. IS. 6-71 (2) Seksyen 3 Akta ini terpakai bagi maksudmaksud seksyen ini sebagaimana ianya terpakai bagi maksud-maksud undang-undang libel dan slander.
