s 5 Criterion for deciding whether a person is a Muslim
If for the purposes of this Act any question arises as to whether a person is a Muslim, that question shall be decided according to the criterion of general reputation, without making any attempt to question the faith, beliefs, conduct, behaviour, character, acts, or omissions of that person.

Jika bagi maksud-maksud Akta ini timbul apa-apa Kriterium soal tentang sama ada seseorang itu orang Islam, memutuskan soal itu hendaklah diputuskan mengikut kriterium sama ada seseorang itu reputasi am, tanpa membuat apa-apa percubaan untuk orang Islam. mempersoalkan keimanan, kepercayaan, kelakuan, perangai, watak, perbuatan, atau kemungkiran orang itu.
