(1) Subject to this section, the licensing authority under this Act shall be the Board.
(2) The Board shall grant a general licence to the Director General of Health to issue separate licences on behalf of the Board to any person applying for a licence to undertake any of the activities referred to in the classification of licences under this Act where such activities are in respect of medical purposes.
(3) The Director General of Health shall process the application in the same manner as is provided under this Act for the processing of a licence issued by the Board and any reference hereinafter to the expression “licence” shall, unless the context otherwise requires, mean a licence issued by the appropriate authority, being the Director General of Health or the Board, as the case may be.

Pihak berkuasa pelesenan
(1) Tertakluk kepada seksyen ini, pihak berkuasa pelesenan di bawah Akta ini ialah Lembaga.
(2) Lembaga hendaklah memberi keizinan menyeluruh kepada Ketua Pengarah Kesihatan untuk mengeluarkan lesen yang berasingan bagi pihak Lembaga kepada mana-mana orang yang memohon lesen bagi menjalankan apa-apa aktiviti yang disebutkan dalam pengelasan lesen di bawah Akta ini jika aktiviti tersebut adalah dicadangkan maksud perubatan.
(3) Ketua Pengarah Kesihatan hendaklah memproses permohonan dengan cara yang sama sebagaimana diperuntukkan di bawah Akta ini bagi memproses lesen yang dikeluarkan oleh Lembaga dan apa-apa sebutan kemudian dari ini mengenai ungkapan ―lesen‖ hendaklah, melainkan jika konteksnya menghendaki makna yang lain, ertinya lesen yang dikeluarkan
oleh pihak berkuasa berkenaan yang adalah Ketua Pengarah Kesihatan atau Lembaga, mengikut mana yang berkenaan.
