s 39 Yang di-Pertuan Agong may appoint other persons to be authorized officers
Without prejudice to the definition of “authorized officer” in section 2, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong may, by order in the Gazette, appoint such other person or class of persons as he may consider necessary to be an authorized officer or authorized officers for the purposes of this Act or any applicable written law.

Tanpa menjejaskan takrif "pegawai berkuasa" Yang didalam seksyen 2, Yang di-Pertuan Agong boleh, melalui Agong boleh perintah dalam Warta, melantik orang-orang atau melantik golongan orang lain sebagaimana yang difikirkannya perlu menjadi pegawai berkuasa atau pegawai-pegawai pen menjadi . bagi maksud-maksud Akta ini atau mana- berkuasa. mana undang-undang bertulis yang terpakai.
