s 5 Alternate members

(1) The Minister may, in respect of each member appointed under paragraphs 3(2)(b) to 3(2)(f) and subsection 3(3), appoint one person to be an alternate member to attend in place of the member, meetings of the Board that the member is for any reason unable to attend. (2) When attending meetings of the Board, an alternate member shall for all purposes be deemed to be a member of the Board. (3) An alternate member shall, unless he sooner resigns or his appointment is sooner revoked, cease to be an alternate member when the member in respect of whom he is an alternate ceases to be a member of the Board.

Ahli silih ganti

(1) Menteri boleh, bagi tiap-tiap seorang ahli yang dilantik di bawah perenggan 3(2)(b) hingga 3(2)(f) dan subseksyen 3(3), melantik seseorang sebagai ahli silih ganti untuk menghadiri mesyuarat Lembaga bagi menggantikan tempat seseorang ahli sekiranya ahli itu oleh kerana apa-apa sebab tidak dapat hadir. (2) Apabila menghadiri mesyuarat Lembaga, seseorang ahli silih ganti hendaklah bagi semua maksud dianggap menjadi seorang ahli Lembaga. (3) Seseorang ahli silih ganti hendaklah, melainkan jika dia meletak jawatan terlebih dahulu atau jika pelantikannya dibatalkan terlebih dahulu, terhenti daripada menjadi ahli silih ganti apabila ahli yang baginya dia menjadi ahli silih ganti itu berhenti daripada menjadi ahli Lembaga.
