Copyright Act 1987 s 1
(1) This Act may be cited as the Copyright Act 1987 and shall come into force on such date as the Minister may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint and different dates may be appointed for the coming into force of different provisions of this Act. (2) This Act shall apply throughout Malaysia.
Tajuk ringkas, pemakaian dan permulaan kuat kuasa
(1) Akta ini bolehlah dinamakan Akta Hak Cipta 1987 dan hendaklah mula berkuat kuasa pada tarikh yang ditetapkan oleh Menteri melalui pemberitahuan dalam Warta dan tarikh yang berlainan boleh ditetapkan bagi mula berkuatkuasanya peruntukan yang berlainan dalam Akta ini. (2) Akta ini terpakai di seluruh Malaysia.
