s 18 Powers of Fire Officers or Auxiliary Fire Officers on occasion of fire
(1) On the occasion of a fire, a Fire Officer or an Auxiliary Fire Officer may—
(a) take such measures as appear to him to be necessary or expedient for the protection of life and property;
(b) remove any person interfering by his presence or actions with the operations of the Fire and Rescue Department;
(c) enter, break into or through, and take possession of or demolish, or cause to be taken possession of or demolished, any premises, place or thing for the purpose of putting an end to the fire or protecting the premises, place or thing from the fire, or for rescuing any person or thing;
(d) close any street near the site of the fire or control the traffic or crowd in any such street;
(e) use any convenient supply of water;
(f) remove or direct the transfer of flammable, explosive or hazardous material within or in the vicinity of the premises;
(g) shut off or disconnect or direct any person having the control thereof to shut off or disconnect any energy supply including gas supply, fuel supply or electricity supply within or in the vicinity of the premises; and
(h) remove, by force if necessary, any vehicles or objects obstructing the operations of the Fire and Rescue Department.
(2) The powers conferred by subsection (1) may, to such extent as may be necessary, be exercised where a fire is reasonably believed to have broken out or to have occurred.
(3) For the purpose of paragraph (1)(e), no payment shall be imposed by any person or water authority on the Fire and Rescue Department for the use of water in carrying out their duties under this Act.

Kuasa Pegawai Bomba atau Pegawai Bomba Bantuan semasa kebakaran
(1) Semasa sesuatu kebakaran, seseorang Pegawai Bomba atau Pegawai Bomba Bantuan boleh—
(a) mengambil apa-apa langkah yang didapatinya perlu atau suai manfaat bagi melindungi nyawa dan harta;
(b) mengeluarkan mana-mana orang yang dengan kehadirannya atau tindakannya mengganggu operasi Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat;
(c) memasuki, memecah masuk atau merempuh masuk, dan mengambil milikan atau merobohkan, atau menyebabkan supaya diambil milikan atau dirobohkan, mana-mana premis, tempat atau benda bagi maksud memadamkan kebakaran itu atau melindungi premis, tempat atau benda itu daripada kebakaran itu, atau bagi menyelamatkan mana-mana orang atau apa-apa benda;
(d) menutup mana-mana jalan yang berhampiran dengan tempat kebakaran itu atau mengawal lalu lintas atau orang ramai di mana-mana jalan itu;
(e) menggunakan mana-mana bekalan air yang sesuai;
(f) mengeluarkan atau mengarahkan pemindahan bahan mudah terbakar, letupan atau berbahaya di dalam atau di sekitar premis;
(g) menutup atau memutuskan atau mengarahkan mana-mana orang yang mempunyai kawalan untuk menutup atau memutuskan apa-apa bekalan tenaga termasuk bekalan gas, bekalan bahan api atau bekalan elektrik di dalam atau di sekitar premis; dan
(h) mengeluarkan, dengan paksa jika perlu, mana-mana kenderaan atau objek yang menghalang kerja Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat.
(2) Kuasa yang diberikan oleh subseksyen (1) boleh dijalankan setakat yang perlu jika suatu kebakaran telah dengan munasabahnya dipercayai terjadi atau berlaku.
(3) Bagi maksud perenggan (1)(e), tiada bayaran boleh dikenakan oleh mana-mana orang atau pihak berkuasa air kepada Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat bagi penggunaan air dalam menjalankan tugas mereka di bawah Akta ini.
