s 41 Resignation
A volunteer reserve police officer may resign from the Volunteer Reserve by giving one month’s notice in writing to a Commanding Officer:
Provided that when the Volunteer Reserve or any part thereof is mobilized, a volunteer reserve police officer shall not resign unless expressly authorized in writing so to do by a Commanding Officer.

Peletakan jawatan
Seseorang pegawai polis sukarelawan simpanan boleh meletakkan jawatan dari Sukarelawan Simpanan dengan memberi satu bulan notis secara bertulis kepada seorang Pegawai Memerintah:
Dengan syarat bahawa jika Sukarelawan Simpanan atau manamana bahagiannya sedang dikerah, seorang pegawai polis sukarelawan simpanan tidak boleh meletakkan jawatan melainkan dibenarkan dengan nyata secara bertulis untuk berbuat demikian oleh seorang Pegawai Memerintah.
