A reserve police officer mobilized under section 55 who without reasonable cause, the onus of proof of which shall rest on him, fails to report at the place and at the time specified in an order made under section 56, properly uniformed and equipped to the scale prescribed, shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or to both.

Seseorang pegawai polis yang dikerah di bawah seksyen 55 yang tanpa sebab yang munasabah, yang mana beban pembuktian hendaklah terletak ke atasnya, tidak melapor di tempat dan pada masa yang ditetapkan di dalam suatu perintah yang dibuat di bawah seksyen 56, tidak berpakaian seragam dengan sempurna dan melengkapi diri mengikut skala yang ditetapkan, melakukan suatu kesalahan dan apabila disabitkan boleh dikenakan hukuman penjara selama tempoh tidak melebihi satu tahun atau denda tidak melebihi satu ribu ringgit atau kedua-duanya.
