Houses of Parliament (Privileges and Powers) Act 1952 s 11
s 11 Power of President to issue warrants for apprehension and imprisonment
For the purpose of punishing any of the contempts referred to in this Act, the President, is hereby empowered, upon a resolution in that behalf of the House, to issue a warrant under his hand for the apprehension and imprisonment of any person sentenced to imprisonment or who, having been sentenced to pay a fine, fails to pay the same.

Kuasa Yang Dipertua mengeluarkan waran untuk pemberkasan dan pemenjaraan
Bagi maksud menghukum mana-mana penghinaan yang disebut dalam Akta ini, Yang Dipertua adalah dengan ini diberi kuasa, atas ketetapan maksud itu bagi pihak Majlis, mengeluarkan waran di bawah tandatangannya untuk memberkas dan memenjarakan mana-mana orang yang dihukum penjara atau yang dihukum membayar denda tetapi tidak membayarnya.
