Electricity Supply Act 1990 s 35
For the purpose of holding enquiries under this Act, the Commission or the person appointed by the Minister under subsection 34(3), as the case may be, shall have power to administer oaths and affirmations and shall be vested with the powers of a first class magistrate for compelling the attendance of witnesses, maintaining order or otherwise duly conducting the said enquiries. Persons summoned to attend any such enquiry shall be legally bound to attend.
Kuasa mengadakan siasatan
Bagi maksud mengadakan siasatan di bawah Akta ini, Suruhanjaya atau orang yang dilantik oleh Menteri di bawah subseksyen 34(3), mengikut mana-mana yang berkenaan, hendaklah mempunyai kuasa mengendalikan sumpah dan ikrar dan hendaklah terletak hak padanya kuasa majistret kelas satu bagi memaksa kehadiran saksi, menjaga ketenteraman atau selainnya menjalankan dengan sempurna siasatan tersebut. Orang yang dipanggil menghadiri mana-mana siasatan adalah terikat di sisi undang-undang untuk hadir.
