Optical Act 1991 s 29
(1) No person shall practise optometry unless he is a registered person. (2) Notwithstanding subsection (1) but subject to section 30, no person shall prescribe or dispense contact lenses unless he is a registered optometrist. (3) Subsections (1) and (2) shall not apply to a medical practitioner. (4) Any person who contravenes this section commits an offence.
Hanya orang berdaftar sahaja boleh menjalankan amalan optometri
(1) Tiada seorang pun boleh menjalankan amalan optometri melainkan jika dia seorang orang berdaftar. (2) Walau apa pun subseksyen (1) tetapi tertakluk pada seksyen 30, tiada seorang pun boleh mempreskripsi atau mendispens kanta lekap melainkan jika dia seorang optometris berdaftar. (3) Subseksyen (1) dan (2) tidaklah terpakai bagi seorang pengamal perubatan. (4) Mana-mana orang yang melanggar seksyen ini melakukan suatu kesalahan.
