(1) On the coming into force of this Act- (a) the Control of Supplies Act, 1961 shall not apply to padi and rice, and that Act shall have effect as if the words "controlled article" as defined in that Act exclude padi and rice; and (b) the Price Control Ordinance, 1946 shall not apply to padi and rice, and that Ordinance shall have effect as if the word "goods" as defined in that Ordinance excludes padi and rice. (2) Nothing in subsection (1) shall affect the validity of any licence, permit or authority granted or issued under the Act or Ordinance mentioned in that subsection and such licence permit or authority shall continue in force until superseded, revoked or otherwise terminated under this Act.
