s 25 Director of Marine to carry out powers and duties under this Act or regulations made thereunder
(1) Subject to such terms and conditions as may be imposed or such directions as may be given by the Minister, it shall be the responsibility of the Director of Marine to carry out all or any of the powers and duties under this Act or any regulations made thereunder.
(2) The Director of Marine may authorize in writing any officer as he deems fit to carry out any of the powers and duties conferred on him under this Act or any regulations made thereunder.
(3) An authorized officer mentioned under subsection (2) shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of the Penal Code [Act 574].

Pengarah Laut hendaklah menjalankan kuasa dan tugas di bawah Akta ini atau peraturan-peraturan yang dibuat di bawahnya
(1) Tertakluk kepada apa-apa terma dan syarat yang dikenakan atau apa-apa arahan yang diberikan oleh Menteri, menjadi tanggungjawab Pengarah Laut untuk menjalankan segala atau manamana kuasa dan tugas di bawah Akta ini atau apa-apa peraturan yang dibuat di bawahnya.
(2) Pengarah Laut boleh secara bertulis memberi kuasa mana-mana pegawai yang disifatkannya layak untuk menjalankan mana-mana kuasa dan tugas yang diberikan kepadanya di bawah Akta ini atau mana-mana peraturan yang dibuat di bawahnya.
(3) Pegawai diberi kuasa yang disebut di bawah subseksyen (2) hendaklah disifatkan sebagai pekhidmat awam mengikut pengertian Kanun Keseksaan [Akta 574].
