s 3C Substituted service for emergency protection order
If the officer in charge of the police district or any other police officer under his command referred to in subsection 3B(1) is not able to serve a copy of the emergency protection order on the person against whom the order is made personally within twelve hours of receiving a copy of the order, the service of the emergency protection order shall be effectedβ
(a) by leaving a copy of the order at the last known address of the person against whom the order is made; or
(b) by any other manner as the authorized social welfare officer may direct.

Penyampaian ganti bagi perintah perlindungan kecemasan
Jika pegawai yang bertanggungjawab bagi daerah polis atau mana-mana pegawai polis lain di bawah perintahnya yang disebut dalam subseksyen 3 b (1) tidak dapat menyampaikan salinan perintah perlindungan kecemasan itu kepada orang yang terhadapnya perintah itu dibuat secara ke diri dalam masa dua belas jam selepas salinan perintah itu diterima, penyampaian perintah perlindungan kecemasan itu hendaklah dilaksanakanβ
(a) dengan meninggalkan suatu salinan perintah itu di alamat yang terakhir diketahui bagi orang yang terhadapnya perintah itu dibuat; atau
(b) dengan apa-apa cara lain sebagaimana yang diarahkan oleh pegawai kebajikan masyarakat yang diberi kuasa.
