s 7 Powers of arrest
(1) Where the court is satisfied that the person against whom a protection order or interim protection order is made is likely to cause actual physical injury to the protected person or persons, the court shall attach a power of arrest to such protection order or interim protection order, as the case shall be.
(2) If a power of arrest is attached by virtue of subsection (1), a police officer shall arrest without warrant the person against whom the order is made when one or more of the following situations arise:
(a) when there is a report of domestic violence lodged by a person who is protected under the interim protection order or protection order to any police officer;
(b) when the police officer has reasonable cause to believe that the person against whom the order is made is in breach ofβ
(i)
(i) the order issued under subsection 4(1) or 5(1); or
(ii)
(ii) any order made pursuant to paragraph 6(1)(a) or
(b); or
(c) when the person against whom the order is made enters into any place prohibited under the order.
(3) Where a power of arrest is attached to a protection order or interim protection order and the person against whom the order is made is arrested under subsection (2)β
(a) he shall be brought before a judge within twenty-four hours of his arrest; and
(b) he shall not be released within that period except on the direction of the judge,
but nothing in this section shall authorize his continued detention under this subsection after the expiry of that period.
(4) In this section βjudgeβ includes a Magistrate.

Kuasa penangkapan
(1) Jika mahkamah berpuas hati bahawa orang yang terhadapnya perintah perlindungan atau perintah perlindungan interim dibuat berkemungkinan akan menyebabkan kecederaan fizikal sebenar kepada orang dilindungi, mahkamah hendaklah menyertakan suatu kuasa penangkapan pada perintah perlindungan atau perintah perlindungan interim itu, mengikut mana-mana yang berkenaan.
(2) Jika suatu kuasa menangkap disertakan menurut kuasa subseksyen (1), seseorang pegawai polis hendaklah menangkap tanpa waran orang yang terhadapnya perintah itu dibuat apabila berlaku satu keadaan atau lebih yang berikut:
(a) apabila terdapat suatu laporan keganasan rumah tangga dibuat oleh orang yang dilindungi di bawah perintah perlindungan interim atau perintah perlindungan kepada mana-mana pegawai polis;
(b) apabila pegawai polis itu mempunyai sebab yang munasabah untuk mempercayai bahawa orang yang terhadapnya perintah itu dibuat telah melanggarβ
(i) perintah yang dikeluarkan di bawah subseksyen 4(1) atau 5(1); atau
(ii) mana-mana perintah yang dibuat menurut perenggan 6(1)(a) atau (b); atau
(c) apabila orang yang terhadapnya perintah itu dibuat memasuki mana-mana tempat yang dilarang di bawah perintah itu.
(3) Jika suatu kuasa menangkap disertakan pada perintah perlindungan atau perintah perlindungan interim dan orang yang terhadapnya perintah itu dibuat ditangkap di bawah subseksyen (2)β
(a) dia hendaklah dibawa ke hadapan seorang hakim dalam masa dua puluh empat jam dari masa dia ditangkap; dan
(b) dia tidak boleh dilepaskan dalam tempoh itu kecuali atas arahan hakim,
tetapi tiada apa-apa jua dalam seksyen ini boleh membenarkannya terus ditahan di bawah subseksyen ini selepas habis tempoh itu.
(4) Dalam seksyen ini, βhakimβ termasuklah Majistret.
