s 56 Notice to revoke approval and to cancel registration

(1) A notice of intention to revoke the approval under section 54 or to cancel the registration under section 55 shall specify the grounds on which it is proposed to revoke the approval or to cancel the registration. (2) The private higher educational institution shall be given an opportunity to make written representations thereon within twenty-one days from the date of service of the notice in subsection (1). (3) After the expiry of the period of twenty-one days mentioned in subsection (2) and after considering any representation made under that subsection, the Registrar General shall— (a) with respect to the cancellation of registration, decide whether or not— (i) to proceed with the proposed action; (ii) to take no further action; (iii) to add, alter or vary the conditions of the registration; or (iv) to issue a warning; or (b) with respect to the revocation of approval, make such recommendations to the Minister. (4) A private higher educational institution whose registration has been cancelled by the Registrar General may appeal in writing to the Minister within twenty-one days from being notified of the decision appealed against.

Notis untuk membatalkan kelulusan dan mengkensel pendaftaran

(1) Notis tentang niat untuk membatalkan kelulusan di bawah seksyen 54 atau untuk mengkenselkan pendaftaran di bawah seksyen 55 hendaklah menyatakan alasan yang di atasnya pembatalan kelulusan atau pengkenselan pendaftaran itu dicadangkan. (2) Institusi pendidikan tinggi swasta itu hendaklah diberikan peluang untuk membuat representasi bertulis mengenainya dalam masa dua puluh satu hari dari tarikh penyampaian notis dalam subseksyen (1). (3) Selepas habis tempoh dua puluh satu hari yang disebutkan dalam subseksyen (2) dan selepas menimbangkan apa-apa representasi yang dibuat di bawah subseksyen itu, Ketua Pendaftar hendaklah— (a) berkenaan dengan pengkenselan pendaftaran, memutuskan sama ada atau tidak— (i) untuk meneruskan tindakan yang dicadangkan; (ii) untuk tidak mengambil tindakan lanjut; (iii) untuk menambah, menukar atau mengubah syarat pendaftaran; atau (iv) untuk memberikan amaran; atau (b) berkenaan dengan pembatalan kelulusan, membuat apaapa syor kepada Menteri. (4) Institusi pendidikan tinggi swasta yang pendaftarannya telah dibatalkan oleh Ketua Pendaftar boleh merayu secara bertulis kepada Menteri dalam masa dua puluh satu hari dari diberitahukan keputusan yang dirayukan itu.
