Evidence Act 1950 s 116

s 116 Estoppel of tenant and of licensee of person in possession

No tenant of immovable property, or person claiming through the tenant, shall during the continuance of the tenancy be permitted to deny that the landlord of that tenant had at the beginning of the tenancy a title to the immovable property; and no person who came upon any immovable property by the licence of the person in possession thereof shall be permitted to deny that that person had a title to such possession at the time when the licence was given.

Estopel penyewa dan estopel penerima izin orang yang memiliki harta tak alih

Tiada penyewa harta tak alih, atau orang yang menuntut melalui penyewa itu boleh dibenarkan untuk menafikan semasa penyewaan itu masih berterusan, bahawa tuan tanah penyewa itu mempunyai hakmilik terhadap harta tak alih itu pada permulaan penyewaannya; dan tiada seorang pun yang menduduki mana-mana harta tak alih dengan izin orang yang memilikinya dibenarkan untuk menafikan bahawa orang itu mempunyai hak terhadap pemilikan itu pada masa izin itu diberikan.
