Evidence Act 1950 s 137

s 137 Examination-in-chief, cross-examination and re-examination

(1) The examination of a witness by the party who calls him shall be called his examination-in-chief. (2) The examination of a witness by the adverse party shall be called his cross-examination. (3) Where a witness has been cross-examined and is then examined by the party who called him, such examination shall be called his reexamination.

Pemeriksaan utama, pemeriksaan balas dan pemeriksaan semula

(1) Pemeriksaan seseorang saksi oleh pihak yang memanggilnya disebut pemeriksaan utamanya. (2) Pemeriksaan seseorang saksi oleh pihak menentang disebut pemeriksaan balasnya. (3) Jika seseorang saksi telah diperiksa balas dan kemudian diperiksa oleh pihak yang telah memanggilnya, pemeriksaan itu disebut pemeriksaan semulanya.
