Evidence Act 1950 s 160

s 160 Testimony to facts stated in document mentioned in section 159

A witness may also testify to facts mentioned in any such document as is mentioned in section 159 although he has no specific recollection of the facts themselves, if he is sure that the facts were correctly recorded in the document. ILLUSTRATION A book-keeper may testify to facts recorded by him in books regularly kept in the course of business if he knows that the books were correctly kept, although he has forgotten the particular transactions entered.

Testimoni tentang fakta yang dinyatakan dalam dokumen yang disebut dalam seksyen 159

Seseorang saksi boleh juga memberikan keterangan tentang fakta yang disebut dalam mana-mana dokumen sedemikian yang disebut dalam seksyen 159, walaupun dia tidak mempunyai ingatan spesifik tentang fakta itu sendiri, jika dia yakin bahawa fakta itu telah direkodkan dengan betul dalam dokumen itu. Seseorang penyimpan kira-kira boleh memberikan keterangan tentang fakta yang telah direkodkan olehnya dalam buku kira-kira yang biasa disimpan dalam perjalanan urusan jika dia mengetahui bahawa buku kira-kira itu telah disimpan dengan betulnya, walaupun dia telah melupai transaksi tertentu yang telah dicatatkannya.
