Syariah Court Evidence (Federal Territories) Act 1997 s 57
The following documents are public documents: (a) documents forming the acts or records of the acts of— (i) the sovereign authority; (ii) official bodies and tribunals; and (iii) public officers, legislative, judicial and executive, whether Federal or State or of a foreign country; and (b) public records kept in Malaysia of private documents.
Dokumen awam
Dokumen yang berikut ialah dokumen awam: (a) dokumen yang mengandungi tindakan atau rekod tindakan— (i) kuasa pemerintah berdaulat; (ii) badan rasmi dan tribunal; dan (iii) pegawai awam, perundangan, kehakiman dan eksekutif, sama ada bagi Persekutuan atau Negeri atau bagi sesuatu negara asing; dan (b) rekod awam yang disimpan di Malaysia mengenai dokumen persendirian.
