s 6 Remuneration of officers

(1) Subject to subsection (2), an officer posted or transferred under section 5 shall remain a member of the joint service, but his remuneration shall be paid by the Federation or the State, as the case may be, to whose office he is posted or transferred. (2) Where an officer is employed— (a) partly for federal purposes and partly for State purposes; or (b) for the purposes of two or more States, the proportion, if any, of his remuneration payable by the Federation and the State or States concerned or, as the case may be, by each of the States concerned, shall be determined by agreement or, in default of agreement, by the Commission.

Saraan pegawai

(1) Tertakluk kepada subseksyen (2), seseorang pegawai yang ditempatkan atau ditukarkan di bawah seksyen 5 hendaklah kekal sebagai anggota perkhidmatan bersama, tetapi saraannya hendaklah dibayar oleh Persekutuan atau Negeri, mengikut mana-mana yang berkenaan, yang di pejabatnya dia ditempatkan atau ke pejabatnya dia ditukarkan. (2) Jika seseorang pegawai diambil kerja— (a) sebahagiannya bagi maksud persekutuan dan sebahagiannya bagi maksud Negeri; atau (b) bagi maksud dua Negeri atau lebih, perkadaran saraannya, jika ada, yang kena dibayar oleh Persekutuan dan Negeri atau Negeri-Negeri yang berkenaan atau, mengikut manamana yang berkenaan, oleh setiap Negeri yang berkenaan, hendaklah ditentukan dengan persetujuan atau, jika tidak ada persetujuan, oleh Suruhanjaya.
