Counsellors Act 1998 s 39

s 39 Suspension of practice pending investigation

(1) The Board may, if it considers fit, suspend the practicing certificate of a registered counsellor for a period not exceeding six months pending the completion of an investigation by the Investigation Committee and inquiry by the Disciplinary Committee. (2) No registered counsellor shall practise as a counselor during the period of suspension under subsection (1). (3) Any person who contravenes subsection (2) shall be guilty of an offence.

Penggantungan amalan sementara menanti penyiasatan selesai

(1) Lembaga boleh, jika difikirkannya patut, menggantung perakuan amalan seseorang kaunselor berdaftar selama suatu tempoh yang tidak melebihi enam bulan sementara menanti selesainya penyiasatan oleh Jawatankuasa Penyiasatan dan siasatan oleh Jawatankuasa Tatatertib. (2) Tiada kaunselor berdaftar boleh menjalankan amalan sebagai kaunselor dalam tempoh penggantungan di bawah subseksyen (1). (3) Mana-mana orang yang melanggar subseksyen (2) melakukan suatu kesalahan.
