Counsellors Act 1998 s 48

s 48 Power of entry, inspection, examination, seizure, etc.

(1) The President of the Board or any officer authorized by him may, for the purpose of carrying out the objects of this Act or any regulations made under this Act, at any reasonable time and upon the production of his certificate of authorization enter, inspect and examine any premises or any area including any building or structure thereon which belongs to or is used, whether permanently or otherwise, or whether or not registered for use, by a registered counsellor. (2) In carrying out an inspection under subsection (1), the President or an officer authorized by him may— (a) enter any area or premises; (b) examine such book, register, document, material or other article as he may consider necessary; and (c) remove and detain any book, register, document, material or other article. (3) An officer may for the purpose of this section seek whenever necessary the assistance of the police in the execution of his duty.

Kuasa untuk memasuki, memeriksa, meneliti, menyita, dsb.

(1) Presiden Lembaga atau mana-mana pegawai yang diberi kuasa olehnya boleh, bagi maksud melaksanakan tujuan Akta ini atau mana-mana peraturan yang dibuat di bawah Akta ini, pada bila-bila masa yang munasabah dan apabila dikemukakan perakuan pemberikuasaannya memasuki, memeriksa dan meneliti mana-mana premis atau mana-mana kawasan termasuklah mana-mana bangunan atau binaan di atasnya yang dimiliki atau digunakan, sama ada secara kekal atau selainnya, atau sama ada didaftarkan atau tidak didaftarkan untuk digunakan, oleh kaunselor berdaftar. (2) Pada menjalankan sesuatu pemeriksaan di bawah subseksyen (1), Presiden atau seseorang pegawai yang diberi kuasa olehnya boleh— (a) memasuki mana-mana kawasan atau premis; (b) meneliti apa-apa buku, daftar, dokumen, bahan atau artikel lain sebagaimana yang difikirkannya perlu; dan (c) mengalihkan dan menahan apa-apa buku, daftar, dokumen, bahan atau artikel lain. (3) Seseorang pegawai boleh bagi maksud seksyen ini meminta bilamasa perlu bantuan polis dalam pelaksanaan kewajipannya.
