Private Healthcare Facilities and Services Act 1998 s 54

s 54 Interpretation

In this Part, unless the context otherwise requires— “blood product” means any substance freshly derived from natural human blood and includes plasma, plasma component and blood cells but does not include any fractionated blood product; “fractionated blood product” means plasma proteins obtained through a chemical manufacturing process; “natural human blood” means unprocessed human blood; “supply” means supply by way of sale, exchange or gift and includes receiving, keeping or storing for the purpose of supply.
