s 157 Prohibition on using spectrum without assignment

(1) Subject to such exemptions as may be determined by the Minister by order published in the Gazette, no person shall intentionally use any part of the spectrum to provide a network service unless— (a) the person holds a spectrum assignment issued under this Part; (b) the person holds an apparatus assignment issued under this Part; or (c) the use of the spectrum is subject to a class assignment issued by the Commission under this Part. (2) A person who contravenes any prohibition under this Chapter commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding five hundred thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years or to both.
