s 20 Future rights
(1) If by an agreement made in relation to a future right in a protected layout-design that is signed by or on behalf of the person who would be the right holder on its coming into existence the person purports to assign the future right in the protected layout-design, wholly or partially, to another person (in this section referred to as the “assignee”), then the right, on coming into existence, shall vest in the assignee or his successor in title by virtue of this subsection.
(2) If at the time when a right in a protected layout-design comes into existence the person who would be entitled to the right is dead, the right shall devolve as if, immediately before the person’s death, the person had been the right holder.
(3) A licence granted in respect of a future right in a protected layout-design by the prospective right holder binds each of his successors in title to the prospective interest in the right to the same extent as the licence was binding on the right holder, except a purchaser in good faith for value without notice (actual or constructive) of the licence and a person who derives title from the purchaser.

(1) Jika melalui perjanjian yang dibuat berhubung dengan sesuatu hak masa depan mengenai sesuatu reka bentuk susun atur terlindung yang ditandatangani oleh atau bagi pihak orang yang sepatutnya menjadi pemegang hak apabila hak itu menjadi wujud orang itu berupa sebagai menyerahhakkan hak masa depan mengenai reka bentuk susun atur terlindung itu, secara keseluruhan atau sebahagiannya, kepada seseorang yang lain (dalam seksyen ini disebut "pemegang serah hak"), maka hak itu, apabila menjadi wujud, hendaklah terletak hak pada pemegang serah hak atau pengganti dalam hakmiliknya menurut kuasa subseksyen ini.
(2) Jika pada masa hak mengenai sesuatu reka bentuk susun atur terlindung menjadi wujud orang yang sepatutnya berhak kepada hak itu telah mati, hak itu hendaklah turun seolah-olah, sebaik sebelum kematian orang itu, orang itu ialah pemegang hak.
(3) Sesuatu lesen yang diberikan berkenaan dengan sesuatu hak masa depan mengenai sesuatu reka bentuk susun atur terlindung oleh bakal pemegang hak mengikat setiap pengganti dalam hakmiliknya bagi bakal kepentingan mengenai hak itu sehingga takat yang sama seperti lesen itu mengikat pemegang hak, kecuali pembeli suci hati dengan nilai yang tidak mempunyai notis (sebenar atau konstruktif) mengenai lesen itu dan orang yang hakmiliknya terbit daripada pembeli itu.
