s 58 Appointment of committees
(1) If the Court finds that the person who is alleged to be mentally disordered is incapable of managing himself and his affairs due to his mental disorder, the Court may appoint a committee or committees of the person and of the estate of the person and may, as the Court deems fit, make an orderβ
(a) as to the remuneration, if any, of the committee or committees out of the personβs estate; or
(b) as to the giving of security by the committee or committees.
(2) Where the Court finds that the person alleged to be mentally disordered is incapable of managing his affairs due to his mental disorder but is not dangerous to himself or to others, the Court may appoint a committee of his estate without appointing a committee of his person.

Pelantikan jawatankuasa
(1) Jika Mahkamah mendapati bahawa orang yang dikatakan bercelaru mental itu tidak berupaya menguruskan dirinya dan hal ehwalnya sendiri disebabkan oleh kecelaruan mentalnya, Mahkamah boleh melantik suatu jawatankuasa atau jawatankuasa-jawatankuasa bagi orang itu dan estet orang itu dan boleh, sebagaimana yang dianggap patut oleh Mahkamah, membuat suatu perintahβ
(a) tentang saraan, jika ada, jawatankuasa atau jawatankuasa-jawatankuasa itu daripada estet orang itu; atau
(b) tentang dengan pemberian jaminan oleh jawatankuasa atau jawatankuasa-jawatankuasa itu.
(2) Jika Mahkamah mendapati bahawa orang yang dikatakan bercelaru mental itu tidak berupaya menguruskan hal ehwalnya sendiri disebabkan oleh kecelaruan mentalnya tetapi tidak berbahaya kepada dirinya atau, kepada orang lain, Mahkamah boleh melantik suatu jawatankuasa bagi estetnya tanpa melantik suatu jawatankuasa bagi dirinya.
