s 9 Request for attendance of person in Malaysia
(1) The Attorney General may request the appropriate authority of a foreign State to assist in arranging for the attendance in Malaysia of a person in the foreign State for the purpose of giving any evidence or assistance if he is satisfied thatβ
(a) there are reasonable grounds to believe that the person is capable of giving such evidence or assistance relevant to a criminal matter involving a serious offence; and
(b) the person consents to travel to Malaysia for the purpose of giving such evidence or assistance.
(2) The Attorney General may make arrangements with the appropriate authority of the foreign State for the purpose of the attendance of that person in Malaysia, his return to the foreign State and other relevant matters.

Permintaan bagi kehadiran orang di Malaysia
(1) Peguam Negara boleh meminta pihak berkuasa yang berkenaan sesuatu Negara asing membantu dalam membuat perkiraan bagi kehadiran di Malaysia seseorang di Negara asing itu bagi maksud memberikan apa-apa keterangan atau bantuan jika dia berpuas hati
(a) terdapat alasan yang munasabah untuk mempercayai bahawa orang itu berupaya memberikan keterangan atau bantuan itu yang berkaitan dengan perkara jenayah yang melibatkan suatu kesalahan berat; dan
(b) orang itu bersetuju untuk datang ke Malaysia bagi maksud memberikan keterangan atau bantuan itu.
(2) Peguam Negara boleh membuat perkiraan dengan pihak berkuasa yang berkenaan Negara asing itu bagi maksud kehadiran orang itu di Malaysia, kepulangan orang itu ke Negara asing itu dan perkara lain yang berkaitan. Penalti tidak boleh dikenakan bagi keengganan untuk bersetuju
